“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” – Dr. Seuss.
My co-worker and good friend Lori is moving away to the Sunshine State Florida next year. In numerous occasions, she has opened her house for all her friends and co-workers to celebrate. So, Kathy and I decided to hold a Summer celebration for her this year.
For this gathering, I made cake pops. It was a madeira cake recipe that I found online, mixed with buttercream frosting. To frost the pops I used white, dark, and milk chocolate with white and yellow sprinkles, and one tiny flower sprinkles on each pops: yellow, green, and orange. This is my second attempt for cake pops, and I was happy with the results.
Well, everybody said it was fun, happy, relaxing, successful, and very refreshing pool party on a 90 degrees Monday afternoon. It was just like being in Florida. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrate the day for Lori. I know we still have about a year with Lori, but time flies and it will not come back. So I’m grateful for this one happy memory we had created…
Happy Summer!
